The hospitality giant unveils a strong regional pipeline spanning India, Malaysia, Thailand and beyond
Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc has announced a major expansion plan for 2026, with new openings planned across Asia-Pacific's most dynamic markets -- including a forthcoming addition in Bengaluru that underscores India's central role in the group's growth story.
India's hospitality momentum strengthens Hilton's confidence
Hilton's upcoming Bengaluru property reinforces its commitment to India, a market witnessing steady growth in both domestic and international travel. The new hotel joins Hilton's expanding Indian portfolio, which includes prominent brands such as Conrad, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton.
The announcement also highlights the brand's intention to introduce Curio Collection by Hilton in India -- marking its debut in the country's premium lifestyle segment. The move aligns with Hilton's vision to cater to the evolving tastes of India's well-travelled demographic seeking unique, design-led experiences.
Alan Watts, President, Asia-Pacific, Hilton, noted that India continues to represent one of the region's most exciting hospitality frontiers. "India's hospitality market has evolved rapidly, driven by rising domestic consumption, a new generation of leisure travellers and sustained business demand. Hilton remains focused on expanding its footprint across key gateway cities and emerging destinations," he said.
Luxury and lifestyle brands anchor regional growth
Across Asia-Pacific, Hilton is set to introduce a wave of high-end and lifestyle hotels that reflect both diversity and depth. The ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand will debut in Malaysia, while Conrad Hotels & Resorts will expand into Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Greece. The NoMad Hotels brand is scheduled to open in Singapore, marking its first property in the region.
The group will also introduce Canopy by Hilton in Thailand and Italy, Curio Collection by Hilton in India, and Home2 Suites by Hilton in Ireland -- all part of a multi-brand strategy designed to address the growing demand for personalised, experience-driven stays.
Hilton's new properties are not only expanding geographical coverage but also deepening the brand's engagement with guests seeking authenticity, cultural connection and locally inspired design.
APAC leads Hilton's global expansion footprint
With the world's travel demand shifting eastward, the Asia-Pacific region has emerged as Hilton's most active development pipeline globally. The company's upcoming launches span major tourism and business hubs, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Maldives.
In Malaysia, Hilton will debut Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, a landmark property symbolising the brand's ultra-luxury presence in Southeast Asia. In Thailand, Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit will combine modern Thai aesthetics with locally inspired experiences aimed at next-generation travellers. Singapore's first NoMad Hotel will showcase a bold, lifestyle-forward approach designed for the creative and culturally curious.
Watts said the region's performance continues to validate Hilton's long-term investment outlook. "Asia-Pacific represents more than one-third of our global pipeline. The market's recovery and continued innovation in design, service and experience reaffirm Hilton's leadership position," he added.
A global outlook with local resonance
Hilton currently operates more than 7,700 properties worldwide across 22 brands, spanning luxury to midscale and extended stay. The 2026 openings demonstrate its ongoing strategy of building scale through brand diversity and localisation.
For India and the wider Asia-Pacific region, this expansion signals more than growth -- it represents the next chapter in the evolution of global hospitality, one where thoughtful design, regional authenticity and international standards coexist seamlessly.
With the upcoming Bengaluru property and a dynamic regional development pipeline, Hilton reaffirms its position as one of the most forward-looking hospitality companies in Asia-Pacific, combining global expertise with a distinctly local sensibility.
