YORK City Academy will host Stockport Town in the first-round proper of the FA Youth Cup.
City sealed their place in the first round with a 5-2 win over Boro Rangers after braces from Ben Farrar and Michael Kydd and a late goal by substitute Tom Hewson saw off the visitors at Pickering Town's Mill Lane ground last week.
Rangers, from Middlesbrough, who had won through three rounds to get to that stage and scored 11 goals, had a man sent off just before the final whistle.
The Minstermen, who were unchanged from their 6-0 second-qualifying round victory over Bradford Park Avenue a fortnight previously, had the first shot of the night, Sutton Greening's effort being blocked at the expense of a corner.
However, York were soon in the lead and did it in style via Farrar's left-footed shot into the bottom corner in the fourth minute.
But Rangers swiftly equalised with another shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner, and almost made it 2-1 only for keeper Campbell White to pull off an acrobatic stop with a strong left hand.
The hosts re-took the lead in the 18th minute when Kydd latched onto a loose ball inside the box before steering his shot home.
Farrar almost made it 3-1 soon after, Rangers' keeper pulling off a great save, and Donovan Day's shot from a tight angle was tipped behind.
York did make it 3-1, however, when a great ball into the box was headed home by Kydd.
That was the interval score, and Greening was again in early action in the second stanza, his effort being denied by a great block.
Lewis Beadle headed wide at the back post from a free-kick, but York went 4-1 up when Farrar rounded the keeper and slotted home.
Home substitute Eddie Kettlewell then fired wide of the left-hand post before Rangers got their second in the 80th minute with a header from inside the six-yard box from a floated cross.
But the two-goal advantage did not last long as Hewson scored with his first touch a minute later, fellow substitute Ed Campbell then firing over after some neat footwork.
Boro were reduced to 10 men after a late challenge brought a red card, but it made no difference to the result.
