Jamie Lee Curtis Calls Out 'Freakier Friday' Critic For Being "A Tad Harsh"

The Oscar winner, who reprises her role as Tess Coleman, recently called out Time critic Stephanie Zacharek for her "harsh" review of the Disney body-swap sequel to 2003's Freaky Friday.

Quoting Zacharek's review, the outlet captioned an Instagram post on Friday, "No one, as far as we know, actually asked Disney for a sequel to 2003's buoyant, surprisingly unsyrupy generation-gap comedy Freaky Friday."

"SEEMS a TAD HARSH. SOME people LOVE it. Me being one," wrote Curtis in a comment.

Despite Zacharek's review, Freakier Friday is Certified Fresh with a 73% review average and 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, on track for a $30M-$32M opening.

Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reunite in Freakier Friday, which sees Tess' daughter Anna Coleman (Lohan) facing challenges with her own blended family, 20 years after mother and daughter switched places. Now, the pair finds themselves swapped with Anna's daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and future stepdaughter Lily (Sophia Hammons).
