No. 16 Bourne defeated No. 17 Mount Greylock 4-1 on Tuesday in the Round of 32 of the Division IV Statewide Tournament.

With Mount Greylock missing its usual first singles and third singles players in Mia Patrick and Charlotte Towler, respectively, certain players took on unfamiliar roles. Bridget Igoe, who usually plays second singles, instead competed in first singles today and beat Bourne's McKinley Wendell in three sets (5-7, 6-4, 10-6).

Meanwhile, Molly Karampatsos of Mount Greylock ended up playing the first singles match of her career, where she fell to Ainsley Hopwood (6-0, 6-0). In doubles play, Bourne's tandem of Lily Russell and Sofia Halunen topped Tiffany Gonzales and Alex Franz in two sets (6-0, 6-0).

Bourne will play the winner of tomorrow's contest between Lynnfield and Uxbridge in the Round of 16 at a date and time TBD.
