Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons are on a roll. Following a 31-26 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8, the Falcons flew back home and clobbered the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, 27-21. However, Cousins' family was not able to catch the start of the contest, as they had a hard time getting through the traffic on their way to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Cousins' wife, Julie Cousins, documented the experience she and their two kids dealt with going to the game.
"Left our house 2 hours ago," Julie wrote on her Instagram Story. "Gonna miss kick off."
Julie also revealed that it was the second time in the 2024 NFL season that she missed out on a Falcons game's kickoff.
"Good luck babe!" Julie captioned her selfie in another post. "We'll be watching on the phone til 2nd quarter!"
Once they arrived at the stadium's parking area, Julie revealed that it took them three hours to get to the Falcons' nest.
All that hassle seemed worth it for Julie and the kids, as they were able to see Kirk dominate on the field versus the Cowboys. The 36-year-old quarterback passed for 222 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 19-of-24 completions. He fumbled the ball twice (lost one), but overall, it was another great showing under center for the four-time NFL Pro Bowler.
