Kangana Ranaut Reveals She Was The First Choice For Item Song In Ram-Leela: 'Chaahe Bhansali Bula Le Chaahe Koi Bhi'

Kangana Ranaut is back at it, making waves and headlines as she gears up for the release of her directorial venture, Emergency. Never one to mince words, Kangana recently dropped a bombshell in a promotional interview, revealing that she once turned down an item number in none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela. The role eventually went to Priyanka Chopra, but Kangana claims she was the original pick.

Kangana said, "Aap dekh lijiye mujhe Sanjay Leela Bhansali ne bhi Ram Leela film jo hai usme item number ke liye bulaya. Sab logo ne mujhe bola yeh paagal hai, Bhansali ko mana kar rahi. I said main nahi kar sakti. Chaahe Bhansali bula le chaahe koi bhi, I can't do item numbers. Artists need to show such integrity. Women ko aap kaise portray karte hain..."

But that's not all. Kangana also dished about the time Ranbir Kapoor came knocking on her door, personally requesting her to star in Sanju. Cool as ever, Kangana turned him down, saying no amount of persuasion could sway her. "Ranbir himself came to my house and said, 'Please do the role in Sanju.' I didn't take it, but that hasn't affected our relationship," she said, unfazed.

In typical Kangana style, she didn't stop there. She went on to casually mention that she had rejected films with all three Khans -- yes, the holy trinity of Bollywood -- because she felt the roles offered to women in those films weren't good enough. And, as if that wasn't enough to keep everyone talking, she revealed that she's said no to endorsement deals worth a whopping Rs 10-15 crores because they promoted fairness creams. "It's racist," she stated firmly. "I was like this from the beginning, even before I was successful."

And for those wondering if she's on bad terms with the Khans, Kangana cleared that up too. "Let me be clear, all the Khans have been very kind and nice to me. There are people who've misbehaved with me, but the Khans weren't one of them," she shared.

Of course, no Kangana interview is complete without a bit of drama. She recently told The Times of India that some industry insiders have tried to sabotage her career. Apparently, calls were made, warnings were issued, and casting directors and cinematographers were instructed not to work with her. But Kangana remains unbothered by all the conspiracy. In fact, she even praised Salman Khan, calling him the biggest star in Bollywood and the most misunderstood.
