Atari Is Releasing A Modernized 7800+ Console That Plays Cartridges This Holiday

Atari is making another cartridge-based replica of one of its classic home consoles. Last holiday retro fans got the Atari 2600+, and this holiday they can add the Atari 7800+ to their collections. Like the 2600+, the 7800+ costs $130. Along with the console, you'll get a wireless CX78+ gamepad and a copy of the modern 7800 platformer Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest to get your collection started.

Here's a look at some of the Atari carts Amazon currently has in stock.

You'll also find The 400 Mini available for $112.79 (was $120)--though this console is built for emulation whereas the Atari 2600+ and Atari 7800+ are built to play cartridges. Still, it's a cool option if you're looking for a different way to play your favorite classic titles. The 400 Mini released earlier this year.
