Strictly Come Dancing fans are worried about Karen Carney after tonight's dance. The former Lioness took to dancefloor with partner Carlos Gu for Musicals Week.

The two performed a Samba to Flash Bang Wallop from Half A Sixpence on the latest edition of the show. The performance was a hit with judges as they received a total score of 34 after the performance. Karen admitted it was difficult as she reflected on the dance afterwards. She said: "I haven't got the hips but I was trying to shake what mama gave me. My aim was it might not be my strongest but I gave everything. I went for it so I'm happy with that.

"I was pretty gassed at the end and it was really challenging." Judge Motsi Mabuse was particularly impressed with the dance as praised one of the more difficult turns in the performance.

The judge was stopped in her tracks during her praise as she moved to scold fellow pro Neil Jones after a shout from the balcony. She said: "Neil you get a partner next year and I will be careful which numbers I'll be pulling."

Fans following on social media platform X were concerned about the dance as they claimed the song choice didn't quite fit the dance

Michael said: "This is not a samba song. Think they have set Karen up here." Mike posted: "Stupid song choice for a Samba. FFS" Eilir posted: "I didn't like the song for this Samba either, hopefully the next song is a better one"

Ulla commented: "And Karen and Carlos had the most unsamba music. They tried their best as well. I found the dress distracting" Kelly posted: "The song choices have been atrocious this year"

Ruby said: "Bro a samba in the death slot to a random musical theyre trying to kill her" However, other fans are not so sure and think Karen has what it takes to go all the way.

Ama said: "I think Karen Carney can win this guys" David added: "It's Karen for the win"

Beth posted: "I was worried when karen got the samba but I shouldn't have been. she is more than worthy of lifting the glitterball"

Mhairi added: "Just give karen and carlos the glitterball PLEASE that was insane"
