Can their international love find a way to thrive? Joan and Greg's love story feels like out of a fairy tale, but are they still together after making their debut on 90 Day Fiancé?
Greg and Joan fell in love while Greg was on vacation in Uganda, a long way from home. But the two couldn't be more different, and with Joan coming to the U.S. to start a life together, things are going to have to change. After all, Joan is a highly educated NGO director, while Gregory still lives with his mom and doesn't even have a stable job. Not the best environment to start a family.
Moving under Greg's mom's roof is a challenge for Joan, and it puts a clear strain on their relationship, which leads Joan to realize she needs more from Greg -- and ask for it. This is when Joan delivers an ultimatum to Greg: either he gets a steady job or she goes back home. Harsh, but living with your mother-in-law will do that to you.
It seems like the ultimatum worked and Jon and Gregory are still together, though Joan's Instagram is private and Gregory's last post (from this year) only references Uganda, and not Joan. But he does, however, mention wanting to go back and his Instagram still features multiple pictures of Joan, as well as the announcement for the show.
"Eating this gave me a flashback right to Uganda," says his last post, which features two plates of food. "As I'm eating it, I feel like I'm standing on the side of a dusty road with Boda Boda (small motorcycles), horns blaring, and people shouting religious sermons through a protable PA system. God, I can't wait to go back!!
Plus there's the fact that, although Greg clearly doesn't use Instagram much, two of his last posts are about Joan's birthdays, a year apart.
Another clue is that Joan's profile, even though it's private, still reads engaged in the bio. Sounds like a good sign that Joan's ultimatum worked and these two are hopefully out of Greg's mom's house and starting a life on their own.
