Strictly Come Dancing fans 'confused' over 'missing' results show performance - Manchester Evening News

Strictly Come Dancing fans shared that they felt "confused" that a star didn't perform during the results show.

On Sunday (October 12), the results for Strictly's Movie Week were officially in and 13 of the 14 contestants awaited to hear if they had made it through to next week.

It was EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal who ended up in the dance off with Lorraine reporter Ross King. After an intense repeat of their routines, the judges chose to save Balvinder.

Sadly, that meant Ross King and partner Jowita Przystal had to bid farewell to the competition following three weeks of live shows.

It was an emotional goodbye as they both declared thank you to each other and the judges.

Movie Week itself was full of twists as Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis was unable to perform his routine due to illness, but is hoping to return next week.

Not only that, but Wicked star Cynthia Erivo appeared as the first ever Guest Mentor. Although not allowed to score the celebrities, she sat between the judges and offered feedback after every performance.

On Instagram after the show aired, Strictly shared a group snap and wrote: "What an epic show! That's a wrap on Movie Week".

Cynthia reposted to her story and gushed: "The best night of everytime!! 10s across the board. I love you @bbcstrictly".

Speaking of 10s, the first ten marks of the series was given by judge Motsi Mabuse for Lewis Cope and Katya Jones after their Paso Doble to The Plaza of Execution from The Mask of Zorro.

However, some viewers were left feeling disappointed that Cynthia didn't perform during the results show.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), @loninikita said: "I'm so confused at how Cynthia was there giving performance tips then didn't even perform?"

@weazylouisa replied: "I was waiting too!!??" as @vickster51 hoped: "Please tell me Cynthia is going to sing. She has to surely?!".
