Exam time has arrived with the usual stress of scores, ranks and expectations. At Ramagya Group of Schools, we believe in a simple yet strong fact that marks may be temporary, learning lasts forever.
We are of the view that with smart study habits and self-care, the students can convert exam difficulties into lifelong learning. Ultimately, the goal is to equip the students not only to excel in exams, but also to carry forward the skills, habits and resilience that they develop into all spheres of life.
Exams are important, but they are not more than one chapter in the larger story of a student's growth in their life. The students need to understand that breaking study sessions into 40-45 minute focused intervals followed by 10-minute breaks helps the brain absorb information more effectively. Therefore, they should follow this advice for better outcomes. During these small breaks, a quick walk or stretch can refresh the mind and improve concentration.
Normally during exams, the students ignore taking proper sleep. But it is very crucial to take proper sleep to do well in exams. It's proven that a well-rested brain retains more information and sharpens problem-solving abilities. As a thumb rule the students should prioritise sleep and avoid all-nighters, which can do more harm than good. They should instead maintain a consistent and proper sleep schedule.
Considering that stress is natural during exams it's important to manage it proactively. The students should talk about their concerns with friends, teachers, or school counsellors. By sharing challenges not only they can reduce their anxiety, but also improve their focus.
Here we must also know how to avoid common pitfalls like social media scrolling, skipping meals, or comparing oneself to peers. All these activities can negatively impact preparation for the exams. The exam season is not just a test of knowledge but also of self-discipline and emotional resilience.
In a nutshell, a balanced approach should be followed by the students during the exams period -- one that includes eating nutritious meals, limiting distractions and concentrating on personal progress.
