NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A mother's fight for answers has led to an arrest in her daughter's death.
Metro Nashville Police believe the incident happened in a parking on Brittany Park Drive in Antioch.
Shannon Kilgore, 31, was reportedly out with friends recording videos of stunts and doing donuts when she was thrown from her friend's car.
Marsha Kilgore tells WSMV that she last spoke to her daughter Shannon on April 25, as she was leaving Florida to arrive in Nashville for a girl's weekend.
That trip that ended at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center, where Shannon was declared brain dead and taken off life support two days later.
Marsha says Shannon's friends took her to the hospital with a skull fracture and a broken ankle saying she randomly blacked out, when questioned by doctors.
"The doctor called me when he was in the room. He told me the story didn't make sense. He said she was on a ventilator. There was no brain activity, and they had to restart her heart three or four times," said Marsha.
Marsha says she finally saw what happened that night, after opening Shannon's iCloud account which had several videos showing Shannon and friend's doing donuts in a parking lot.
"Shannon got out and they were like go ahead Shannon get on the roof of the car. The girl started driving fast as hell and Shannon screamed. You could hear it clearly on the thing (recording). You could hear her say stop. I can't hold on and right after that Ashley starts laughing and she flies off the hood and you hear her it the concrete. I watched it once and I couldn't watch it again," said Kilgore.

Marsha says after Shannon fell off the car no one called for an ambulance, waiting for hours before getting help.
"If they would have just called and got her the help, I believe she would still be alive today and there would be no homicide. I wholeheartedly believe if they got her the help, she would have went to the ER and they could have stopped the swelling," said Rachel Cuevas, Shannon's childhood friend.
Marsha turned the video over to police which lead to the arrest of Ashley Sells, who police say was driving the car that night.
Shannon's family says, they're now trying to be strong for Shannon's 9-year-old daughter Alaina.
"She's devastated. They were best friends. She's lost just like I am," said Marsha.
Sells is now facing charges of vehicular homicide and false reporting.
