The Buffalo Bills had one of the best offenses in the league last season with the league MVP at quarterback.
There shouldn't be much of a drop-off with the same play-caller, skill group, and quarterback all returning off a trip to the conference championship game. With Allen looking to build off his career season, the Bills offense is expected to remain among the best in the league.
Bleacher Report writer Brent Sobleski believes that as well. The analyst ranked all 32 NFL teams' offenses, with the Bills cracking the Top 5 with the organization coming in at fourth overall.
The big reason? The MVP.
"The Buffalo Bills reside in the same place they always do: Let Josh Allen shoulder the offense and see what happens," Sobleski said. "Allen is a premier talent, as one of the league's top three quarterbacks. He's a true franchise option, in that he elevates the play of those around him."
Buffalo did what they needed to do to try and find a way to bolster their offense around Allen. Wide receivers Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore were signed over the offseason.
The team also returned all five starters along their offensive line.
Continuity is so key for a contending group like this. That much is obvious. It's why the Bills should feel as confident as ever that they will be able to continue their dominant run over the last few years.
If they can just get past the Kansas City Chiefs, they'll be able to find a way to move into the all-time great groups in front of them.
