Steinke coached Canada's track and field team this summer in Paris at his sixth Olympic Games.
"I've only heard great things about him," Bentley said. "I felt that he was going to help me become better and develop and push me. I just thought, 'I might as well reach out and see what happens,' and it worked out."
She toured the campus last summer after winning a bronze medal in the shot put at the Royal Canadian Legion youth national championships in Alberta.
She also won gold in shot put and bronze in hammer at the Ontario championships after winning an OFSAA silver in shot put.
"I do have lots of goals for myself, but I definitely think the ultimate goal would be 2032 Olympics if I progress and develop," Bentley said with a smile.
