NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - An explosion damaged a home in North Canton Monday afternoon.

North Canton Fire said they got a call around 140 p.m. for 1808 Swanhurst Circle NE for a report of an explosion.

When fire crews arrived there was no fire or smoke coming from the house but there was damage to the structure of the chimney on the outside of the residence.

When crews got inside they found damage to the interior side of the wall against the chimney.

Fire crews remained on the scene until 4 P.M. The homeowners were not home at the time of the incident there were injuries.

The State Fire Marshal's Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau was called to the scene to investigate, the cause is unknown at this time it is not believed to be criminal in nature at this time.
