Are Houston Texans fans really nicest in the NFL?

BonusFinder.com, a casino bonus and online casino review website, surveyed 1,031 NFL fans to find out which teams' fanbases were the most aggressive and sexy, and which team was the most hated.

The survey revealed that only 0.6 percent of fans considered the Texans fans the "most aggressive" in the league, while the Cowboys' fans ranked third for "most aggressive," with 9.7 percent of the vote. Unsurprisingly, the Philadelphia Eagles fanbase topped the list with the most aggressive fanbase, garnering 26.6 percent of the vote.

By contrast, the Cowboys' fanbase did take home the title of the "sexiest" fanbase and the most hated team. Unfortunately, Texans fans were low on the sexy scale, ranking 21st out of the 32 possible fanbases.

It's a small sampling, but it's also not unexpected. The Houston Texans are one of the younger teams in the NFL, having nine winning seasons in the franchise's 23-year history, making the playoffs seven times. This year will mark the team's 10th winning season, eighth playoff appearance and eighth AFC South title.

To sum it up: there's less built-up angst in the Texans' fanbase, so what's there to be aggressive about? It helps that the neighboring Houston Astros have taken care of the winning with two World Series titles and seven straight American League Championship Series appearances. The Philadelphia Eagles, by contrast, were established in 1933, and have only one Super Bowl championship in their 31 playoff appearances.

What also could be working for Houston is the fact people are generally happy living here. Houston is a transplant city due to its wealth of job opportunities and housing affordability, and as people flock to it, they're choosing to stay and embrace its culture. A 2016 survey by the Kinder Institute of Urban Research revealed that two-thirds of its residents would choose to stay in the city if given the option to move anywhere else in the world. In addition, 79 percent of Houston transplants and 88 percent of native Houstonians considered the city a good place to live.

Overall, Houstonians are just happy to be here, and that must make them nicer and more welcoming.

As for the Cowboys taking the sexiest fanbase? The Fort Worth-native writer of this article does not argue against that.
