ARLINGTON - Even when life kinda sucks, life must march on. So while this NFL season and especially this past week has not been kind to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott - he's the leader of a mediocre football team and he's now down with a torn-off-the-bone hamstring injury that figures to be season-ending, who can blame him for embracing some non-football delights?

And that is where family - for Prescott, and really, for all of us - family comes in handy.

Part of Dak's schedule now includes a Monday trip to New York in search of one more doctor's opinion before finally succumbing to the idea of being moved to IR, maybe facing surgery, and maybe seeing his gray 2024 campaign come to an end.

But tucked inside the professional malaise is something else. Along wit the adversity he's dealt with, he recently proposed to girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos, complete with newborn "Baby MJ'' taking a role.

And on Saturday morning, Prescott - who also this year experienced the ups of signing a $60 million per year deal that makes him the highest-paid NFL player ever - posted a heartfelt message on Instagram for his fiancee.

"Happy birthday to my fiancee," Prescott, 31, wrote to Sarah Jane, who will turn 31 on Nov. 17. "Blessed to spend every second we get together. Me & MJ are lucky to have you!"

Prescott and Ramos announced their engagement in October (complete with a $1 million ring!), following up on the February birth of their daughter, Margaret Jane.

As the couple wrote at the time: "MJ Rose, Being your parents is the biggest blessing life has to offer and we are so fortunate that you are ours! Welcome into this world, baby girl, you will always be loved and protected! We are so IN LOVE with you," they wrote on Instagram.

Dak and Sarah Jane recently hosted a big-time dinner bash at Nick & Sam's to celebrate ... well, maybe everything that is going well in his personal life ... offsetting so much of the professional gray.
