Metro area receives several inches of snow, non-essential city offices to open at 10 a.m.

As much as 7.5 inches of precipitation fell in the metro area as of Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service of Albuquerque.

While four-tenths of an inch of snow fell at Albuquerque International Sunport, Rio Rancho received 7.5 inches and Petroglyph National Monument got 5 inches. Three inches has fallen in Bernalillo, as of 8:15 a.m., respectively, said Raymond Jojola with NWS.
