Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) Carrying forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary Fit India Movement, the Department of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, is set to launch its special initiative 'Sunday on Cycle' in Lucknow on September 21 (Sunday).

The campaign is not just a ride, it's a celebration of health, endurance, and the joy of community cycling.

Designed to encourage people to step out with their bicycles, the initiative aims to promote active lifestyles, highlight environmental consciousness, and raise awareness about the state's tourism potential.

This edition of Sunday on Cycle (SoC) will begin from Paryatan Bhawan, Gomti Nagar, at 7:00 AM, bringing together fitness enthusiasts, families, students, professionals, and cycling groups from across the city.

The streets of Lucknow will transform into vibrant cycling tracks, where every pedal contributes to fitness and sustainability.

UP Tourism & Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh emphasised the government's focus on building a healthy society and eco-conscious habits.

He said, "Sunday on Cycle is not only about fitness, but also a message of environmental protection and tourism awareness. I appeal to all citizens to join this campaign with their bicycles and contribute to the success of the Fit India Movement."

The initiative reflects the state's broader vision of encouraging eco-friendly practices, rediscovering local heritage, and inspiring citizens to embrace cycling as a lifestyle choice.
