CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WCMH) -- A recently resigned Westfall Local School District intervention specialist is facing criminal charges after she allegedly sent nude photographs to an underage student.

Tiffany Haughey, 42, of Chillicothe allegedly sent a photo of her breasts to a young boy around June 8 of this year, court documents said. According to Westfall schools, the district received a complaint about Haughey, a middle school intervention specialist, on Aug. 2, after which the district said it immediately placed her on leave and contacted law enforcement.

According to a report from the Pickaway County Sheriff, a student told a friend Haughey sent him a pornographic photo because "he was her 'favorite.'" In speaking with the victim, police said he alleged they were friends on Snapchat and their communication became sexual when he was on a school sport trip and they exchanged photos and videos.

Police also spoke with Haughey, according to police reports, who allegedly agreed the two spoke via social media and that she was "begged to send images" and was in a "vulnerable state." She also allegedly said she did send and receive photos.

According to Westfall school board documents, Haughey transferred to the middle school from an elementary position in July of 2023, making this past school year her first with middle schoolers.

This is not the first time Haughey appears to have been reported to the Ohio Board of Education. Haughey, then educating under her maiden name, was suspended from Miami Trace Local schools 10 years ago for allegedly taking money from coworkers' purses.

After this incident, she agreed to a two-year suspension of her license, community service and an evaluation before she returned to teaching.

Haughey is scheduled for an arraignment Sept. 4 at 8 a.m.
