Auburn basketball to battle Chattanooga in annual 'Holiday Hoopsgiving' game in Atlanta

Another level of Auburn basketball's 2025-26 schedule was released Tuesday, showing that the Tigers will play once again in the city of Atlanta during the non-conference portion of the docket.

It was announced Tuesday that Auburn will face Chattanooga on Saturday, Dec. 13, at State Farm Arena in Atlanta as part of the annual "Holiday Hoopsgiving" event played at the home of the Atlanta Hawks. This season will mark Auburn's fourth straight season of competing in the event, and the sixth overall. Auburn is 4-1 in the game, most recently defeating Ohio State, 91-53, in 2024. Its lone loss in the event came in 2022 when Memphis got the best of Auburn, 82-73.

Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl believes that playing in Atlanta gives his team a great advantage.

Auburn played three games inside State Farm Arena last season. In addition to facing Ohio State in the 2024 edition of Holiday Hoopsgiving, the Tigers beat Michigan and Michigan State in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, respectively, to advance to the Final Four for the second time in program history. This season, Auburn has two scheduled games to play in State Farm Arena. Auburn will also face Memphis in an exhibition at the venue on Thursday, Oct. 30.
