Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins finally had his signature win with his new team. Cousins led the Falcons to a thrilling 22-21 win on the road against the Philadelphia Eagle on Monday night.
It was a victory that will be talked about by Falcons fans for a long time. Of course, Cousins' wife, Julie Hampton Cousins, is just as hyped over Atlanta's come-from-behind win as every Falcons supporter.
After the Eagles-Falcons game, Julie reposted a social media post by Atlanta's official Instagram account which celebrates the NFC South division team's first win of the 2024 NFL regular season.
Kirk was instrumental in the Falcons' victory in Philly. He marched Atlanta's offense down the field in a six-play drive that concluded with a game-winning touchdown pass by the veteran quarterback to wide receiver Drake London.
Overall in the contest, Cousins recorded 241 passing yards and two touchdowns against zero interceptions on 20-of-29 completions. Cousins was being heavily criticized online when it looked like the Falcons were circling down the drain but the reception from fans quickly changed after Atlanta completed the comeback bid.
Now, the Falcons have all the momentum they need heading into Week 3 where they are scheduled to take on the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs at home.
