Arrest warrant served, driving with a suspended license: Bagley Road
A wanted Cleveland woman, 51, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 outside Marathon, 17777 Bagley.
The woman was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 51-year-old Cleveland man. They had different last names but lived together.
Police noticed the Malibu on Engle Road. They checked the license-plate number and learned that the car's registration had expired. Police pulled over the car after it turned into Marathon.
The woman told police she was not carrying any form of identification. She was uncooperative with and rude to police.
The woman caused such a commotion that a crowd gathered around police, asking them what they were doing.
Police snapped a picture of the woman's face and used artificial intelligence to match her image with her Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles photo.
Police then learned the woman was wanted in Parma. They placed her in handcuffs. In the woman's purse police found ID cards belonging to four different people.
Arrest warrant served: Newton Road
A wanted Newton man, 37, was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at his home.
A family member called police and said the man had taken her purse and phone without her permission. Police knew the man and that he was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office.
Police arrived and placed the man in handcuffs. They confiscated two pills the man was carrying in his hand.
After taking the man to jail, police found a small plastic bag containing possible drug residue in the backseat of the cruiser where he had been sitting.
Arrest warrant served: Interstate 71
A wanted Elyria man, 33, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 on I-71 near Pearl Road.
Police pulled over the man's Honda Civic on southbound 71 because he was driving 82 mph in a 60-mph zone.
The man admitted that warrants had been issued for his arrest, and that his driver's license had been suspended.
Police learned the man was wanted for aggravated menacing in Brooklyn and for a probation violation by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office.
