PACIFIC Trade Invest Australia has reported over $68 million in Fijian exports and $5 million in new investments facilitated since early 2023, with notable support for 423 women-led businesses. This was disclosed during a meeting between PTI officials and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica while he was officially visiting Australia last week.
"Fiji's growing digital footprint and exporter participation in Australian events were also highlighted, showcasing products such as Marama Vanilla and Fiji Fire," the Ministry said in a statement.
"The Deputy Prime Minister commended PTI's role in enabling Fijian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to access Australian markets through financial support, freight subsidies and digital training programs that have reached more than 700 entrepreneurs.
"The meeting also reviewed green and blue economy initiatives, including Fiji's emerging plastic credit market, renewable energy projects and preparations for the Impact Investment Summit 2026.
"The PTI team reaffirmed support for Fiji's efforts in agriculture commercialisation, aquaculture expansion and climate-smart farming, aimed at reducing imports and enhancing food security."
