DADE CITY, Fla. (WFLA) -- An elderly man was killed in a Saturday morning crash near Dade City, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the intersection of US-301 and Ashbrook Road.

The 87-year-old Ridge Manor man was traveling north on US-301 in a Kia Sedona when the driver of a Ford F150 reportedly turned in front of him, causing him to crash into the truck.

The 87-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where officials said he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Ford F150, a 46-year-old Deland woman, also suffered injuries from the crash and was taken to a hospital to be treated, troopers said.
