S M Farhad, General Secretary (GS) candidate of the 'Oikkoboddho Shikkharthi Jote' panel supported by Islami Chhatra Shibir, has alleged that Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) is exposing its political bankruptcy.

He made the remarks during a press briefing held on Tuesday afternoon at Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen.

Farhad said, "Two days after filing a writ in the High Court, when the topic of postponing the DUCSU election arose, it became clear from their statements that they are concerned about DUCSU, not about me. Yet, they are portraying the student accused of issuing gang-rape threats as a Shibir supporter. I myself submitted a written complaint to the proctor and advised the female victim to pursue legal action."

He further alleged, "Some media outlets have published news against Shibir without taking our feedback. One Jubo Dal leader hit a businessman on the head with a stone while extorting money. A reporter from Jugantor was fired for reporting that incident."

Farhad claimed, "There is evidence linking this party to 44 rape incidents this year. We have 500 pages of screenshots showing JCD's slut-shaming female students for their tie to Shibir."

He added, "At the Agricultural University, JCD used outsiders to carry out attacks. In Chittagong University, local BNP leaders were responsible for incidents causing over a hundred casualties. Yet today, they hold rallies at universities saying, 'Catch each Shibir member and slaughter them one by one.' We have screen recordings of these videos, which have even been shared on the central committee's Facebook page."
