New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen continued to address several in-house decisions on Friday, just days before the NFL's "legal tampering" window officially opens.
Linebacker Tomon Fox, an exclusive rights free agent (ERFA), was tendered and subsequently signed a one-year deal. He joins quarterback Tommy DeVito, another ERFA, who is expected to sign his tender over the weekend.
The 26-year-old Fox signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina in 2022. He made the 53-man roster out of training camp that year and appeared in 16 games as a rookie.
Over the past two seasons, Fox has spent much of his time on the team's practice squad with brief stints on the active roster.
In 28 career games (one start), Fox has recorded 39 tackles (23 solo, five for a loss), four QB hits, and 2.0 sacks. He earned an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 62.2 in 2024.
The Giants have until Monday to tender their two remaining exclusive rights free agents, linebacker Dyontae Johnson and cornerback Divaad Wilson. If they don't, both will become unrestricted free agents.
