Shortly after a "Succession"-worthy drama ousted makeup mogul William Lauder from his powerhouse role as executive director of the Estée Lauder Companies -- thanks to his cousin Jane's machinations, according to reports -- he has put his lofty Upper East Side co-op on the market for $26.95 million, according to a StreetEasy listing update.

Lauder purchased the ritzy residence at 778 Park Ave. just last year for $24.95 million, as Gimme Shelter exclusively revealed. The posh pad was previously owned by the late Page Six gossip queen Claudia Cohen.
Lauder bought the Park Avenue residence after splurging on a $155 million Palm Beach estate that was formerly owned by Rush Limbaugh.
This 12th-floor pad is 5,500 square feet. It comes with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two powder rooms and takes up the entire floor in a Rosario Candela prewar building.
Lauder had earlier listed his full-14th floor unit in the building for $45 million in 2019, which was later reduced to $39 million until it was taken off the market in 2021. His goal, sources told Gimme at the time, was to create a glorious duplex, as the building has no 13th floor. Lauder also owns a unit at 998 Fifth Ave., which he bought for $23.5 million in 2017.
The 12th-floor unit, meanwhile, features high ceilings, herringbone floors, three woodburning fireplaces and Central Park views. The home opens from a private elevator landing that leads to a long gallery and living room with three oversize windows above Park Avenue.
There's also a formal corner dining room, a wood-paneled library, and a large eat-in kitchen with a windowed pantry and a corner breakfast room. The separate bedroom wing includes a large main suite with a dressing room and an ensuite bath. Stairs from this floor lead to a staff suite with two additional bedrooms and a bath.
The 20-story building dates to 1931. Amenities include a gym, a yoga/massage room and a beauty salon.
The listing brokers, Corcoran's Cathy Franklin and Alexis Bodenheimer, declined to comment.
