The New Orleans Saints will open the 2024 regular season at home in the dome on Sunday, September 9th, facing one of their NFC South rivals, the Carolina Panthers.

Carolina was first awarded an NFL franchise in 1993, and the Panthers began play in 1995, joining the Saints as members of the NFC West. Carolina won their first matchup, 20-3. In 2002, as part of the NFL's division realignment, the Panthers and Saints were placed into the newly formed NFC South, continuing to play one another twice during the regular season.

This will be the 58th time that these two franchises will face one another in the regular season. New Orleans currently has a 30-28 record against the Panthers, winning 7 of their last 10 matchups.

The Saints head into this season with a new offensive coordinator in Klint Kubiak as well as several new faces on their roster, including new punter Matthew Hayball and 2024 NFL Draft picks OL Taliese Fuaga, WR Bub Means, and CB Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Kickoff is at 12 noon and the game will be broadcast on FOX with Chris Myers (play-by-play), and Mark Schlereth (color analyst), and Jen Hale (sideline)
