Colman Domingo is on a mission to clear his name after stumbling upon a deadly crime in Netflix's upcoming limited series The Madness.

Entertainment Weekly can exclusively reveal a collection of first-look images of the Emmy award-winning actor's starring role as troubled media pundit Muncie Daniels ahead of the conspiracy thriller's premiere on Thanksgiving Day.

The photos show Domingo taking calls, going for a run, speaking with multiple individuals, and, in one image, appearing frightened as he ducks down in a body of water.

Created by Stephen Belber (What We Do Next, The Laramie Project), who also serves as co-showrunner with VJ Boyd (Justified, S.W.A.T), The Madness follows Daniels (Domingo) as he fights for "his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos woods," the series' logline reads.

It continues, "As the walls close in, Muncie strives to reconnect with his estranged family -- and his lost ideals -- in order to survive."

In addition to Domingo, the thriller also stars Marsha Stephanie Blake as Elena Daniels, Gabrielle Graham as Kallie, John Ortiz as Franco Quinones, Tamsin Topolski as Lucie Snipes, and Thaddeus J. Mixson as Demetrius.

The eight-episode series is executive produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Kaitlin Dahill, and Clément Virgo, with Virgo also attached to direct its first two and final two episodes. Quyen Tran and Jessica Lowrey will round out the series by directing two episodes each.

Last February, Netflix's scripted series vice president Peter Friedlander described The Madness in a press release as "a fresh take on the conspiracy thriller," noting that the series turns "the genre on its head with its multilayered characters, propulsive action and swift pace."

Topping added, "Stephen Belber and VJ Boyd thrive in creating suspense-driven emotional stories that connect with broad audiences. We look forward to seeing them bring this timely conspiracy thriller to life and to continue our partnership with Netflix."
