The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Wednesday.

Times of Malta leads with an article on the shocking moment when 15 heavily armed police officers dressed in black and wearing balaclavas forced their way into a Swieqi apartment, pointed guns at residents and handcuffed them after getting the wrong address.

The newspaper also publishes comments by a man, who, two months after relocating to Malta, was crushed by a car driven by a woman over the legal alcohol limit.

The Malta Independent and MaltaToday similarly report on the Swieqi arrest.

In a separate article, the Independent reports that former Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi testified under oath that an official from the Office of the Prime Minister warned him to withdraw several applications for magisterial inquiries, allegedly following instructions from Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Meanwhile, MaltaToday's Kurt Sansone questions whether Malta was better off by €63 million as a result of the Steward healthcare deal.

In-Nazzjon refers to data showing that there are 454,000 cars on Maltese roads, while, in a separate piece, it says Rabat's health clinic has been closed for 16 months.

L-orizzont gives prominence to news that a bronze monument to former Prime Minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici was unveiled on Castille Square on Tuesday evening, three years after his death.

The newspaper also refers to the "biggest investment in the environment" by the government through various initiatives.
