CANFIELD, Ohio - Jen Gonda, director of Community Behavior Consulting, attended a recent national event and will participate in two others in the field of behavioral health and education advocacy.
Gonda's appearances highlight her commitment to advancing public policy, education and compassionate care for children with disabilities, a news release states.
Gonda was selected to attend the Higher Education Consortium for Special Education Short Course in January, an event aimed at equipping leaders in special education with tools to influence policy and practice. The course, held in Washington, D.C., brought together researchers, educators and policymakers to discuss pressing issues in special education.
In March, Gonda and her team will attend the Ohio Association for Behavior Analysis Conference in Columbus, where she will present on Medicaid updates for children with disabilities who need ABA services. In May, Gonda will travel to San Francisco to present at the Council of Autism Service Providers Conference, which is a cornerstone for autism service professionals and thought leaders nationwide, the release states.
"I am excited to engage with stakeholders, legislators and changemakers to advocate for children with disabilities," Gonda said. "Together, we can create systems that support all children."
