Angelina Jolie's Gorgeous New Tom Ford Lipstick Campaign Deserves an Award. See the Powerful Pics

In a cinematic campaign, Angelina Jolie and Tom Ford Beauty have teamed up to launch the luxury brand's new Runway Lip Color.

Per a press release, the formula features a hydrating complex that conditions the lips while offering fade-resistant color. The collection, coming in September 3, will include 18 shades -- 10 existing and eight new.

"An inveterate trailblazer, Jolie drives her personal narrative with strength, confidence and an uncompromising commitment to self-expression," the press release states of the brand's partnership with Jolie. "An Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Tony Award winner, Jolie has established herself as an international icon in film, theater and fashion."

The statement continues, "She goes beyond what the role of an artist can be, parlaying her influence through her humanitarian work, with over 20 years in the field, focusing on refugees and human rights."

The campaign, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, pays "cinematic homage to feminine beauty and its power." In it, Jolie, who wears Runway Lip Color in a bold red shade, prepares to play a character that "loves the camera almost as much as it loves her. A portrait of a woman who makes everything in her gaze her own, drawing confidence from the power of her signature shade: 16 Scarlet Rouge."

In addition to being a film icon, muse and mom of six, Jolie is also an entrepreneur. In 2023, she founded the fashion house Atelier Jolie, a "creative collective for self-expression," per the brand's Instagram bio.

"I'll probably lose money, maybe even for a while," Jolie told to WSJ. Magazine of the passion project, which is focused on quality and sustainability. "If I can eventually put into practice some things that I think are improvements and I just break even, that's a huge victory."

She added, "If it's easily explained, it's probably not going to be as fulfilling as it could be. In my life, I've never been understood right away."
