The former Good Day L.A. anchor sent her 18-year-old off to college on Aug. 11, sharing a photo of the teen setting up his dorm room.

"Eighteen years of early mornings, late night snacks and family dinners ... and then there he was building his own dorm cabinet," Lauren -- who shares Evan and daughter Ella, 17, with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell -- wrote on her Instagram Story. "A small thing but in that moment I saw the start of his next chapter."

"It has been the most fun dressing all the kids," the 55-year-old told Vogue in June, explaining that Ella "never had a fitting" prior to preparing for her role of maid of honor in the nuptials.
