A man has died after falling from the 755ft Heron Tower near Liverpool Street station.
City of London Police said the incident happened outside the the 46-storey building at 110 Bishopgate just before 2.10pm on Thursday.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the male was sadly pronounced dead at the scene .
Footage and images show a huge emergency services response and a blue forensic tent in the Square Mile.
It is not clear where the man fell from and his identity or age is not known at this stage.
A spokesperson for the office building, officially known as the Salesforce Tower, said: "We can confirm that an incident occurred this afternoon at one of the publicly accessible areas at 110 Bishopsgate. Emergency services are in attendance and we are awaiting further details from them."
A force spokesman said: "Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.07pm today (March 27) to reports of an incident on Bishopsgate, EC2N.
"We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
"The incident is still ongoing and we are working with our emergency services partners."
