29th annual Triple Crown Golf Classic returns March 31

The Triple Crown Golf Classic will return for its 29th year on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Woodside Country Club.

The tournament benefits Helping Hands Inc. and the Tri-Development Center of Aiken County.

Golfers can spend the day playing with friends and colleagues to support two great agencies that provide care and resources in the Aiken County area. The entry fee per player is $125 and includes the green fee, cart, practice range, lunch by Chick-fil-A and dinner sponsored by Helping Hands and the Tri-Development Center. Dinner will be catered by Woodside and served in their dining room. Registration opens at 10:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

"We are blessed to continue to partner with Helping Hands for this amazing tournament. We have the most loyal and dedicated golfers who believe in our agencies' missions and for that, we are extremely thankful," said Heather G. Waddell, executive director of the Tri-Development Center. "We feel that our tournament stands out amongst others because of our tournament's longevity and the fun that our golfers have on the day of the tournament. We have a passionate committee who are dedicated to making this a true success for both of our agencies. If you want to make a difference in the lives of others while having a fabulous day playing golf and winning prizes, then this is the tournament for you."

Prizes amounting to approximately $4,000 will be presented for both team and individual achievements in the two Men's Divisions, along with a dedicated Women's Division sponsored by the Women of Woodside. Numerous door prizes, generously donated by local businesses and individuals, will be distributed. Additionally, a Silent Auction featuring a variety of valuable items and services will be open for bidding. This year, Luxury Auction Packages have been added. They can purchase beforehand or bid on during the event.

The tournament is a great way to enjoy a day of golf with friends while supporting two local nonprofits, said Chip Strock, Triple Crown Golf Classic co-chair.

"It has been my pleasure for the past three years to have supported these two wonderful charities," added Jim Faulk, co-chair of the Triple Crown Golf Classic. "The TCGC is also a great way to show your support."

There is also a golf cart raffle for an electric 4-person evolution forester 4 golf cart with a retail value of $7,000. Raffle tickets are $40 each and only 300 tickets will be sold. The raffle is open to all, and the winner does not have to be present to win. To enter the cart raffle, visit triplecrownaiken.com.
