The Dallas Cowboys suffered a major setback in Week 4 when star pass rusher Micah Parsons went down with a high ankle sprain against the New York Giants. Parsons missed the last four games for the Cowboys, who've lost two straight entering Week 9.
Micah Parsons injury update
Parsons has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons after missing his third consecutive practice to finish the week. The Cowboys ruled out three players for Week 9, including cornerback DaRon Bland and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.
Who will start in place of Parsons?
The Cowboys will likely continue to roll with veteran defensive end Carl Lawson against the Falcons in Week 9. Parsons is not someone Dallas can simply replace. The former Penn State star has recorded at least 13 sacks in his first three NFL seasons.
Other notable Cowboys injuries
Dallas star cornerback Trevon Diggs is questionable for Sunday's game in Atlanta along with a handful of other key players. Guard Zach Martin, defensive tackle Linval Joseph, and linebacker Eric Kendricks are also questionable against the Falcons.
