Rams HC Sean McVay Shares 4-Word Praise for Puka Nacua After Surprise Performance

When thinking about the way wide receiver Puka Nacua performed in Thursday's win over the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay dug deep into football terminology for the right descriptor.

Nacua returned to the field after missing four games with a knee injury he suffered in the season opener, an earlier return than many had expected -- McVay included. The Rams coach said after the game that Nacua originally aimed to return for next month's game against the Seattle Seahawks, but the training staff said he would have a chance to return this week.

After making some fast improvements during the week, Nacua joined the lineup and excelled against the Vikings, making seven catches for 106 yards in the 30-20 win.

Speaking about Nacua's performance after the game, McVay dug deep for an old-fashioned football term to describe the gutty performance.

"He's a war daddy," McVay said, via USA Today.

McVay went on to praise Nacua's mentality to be able to return to the field so quickly after an injury originally expected to keep him out through November.

"He's a stud. I love his play energy and what he brings," McVay said. "He was ready to go tonight and he made a big impact on the game."

The win, the second straight for the Rams, moved them to 3-4 and in the mix in a tightly packed NFC West.
