Immigration critics express concern over Biden parole program, California housing proposal

WASHINGTON (TND) -- Conservative critics of President Joe Biden's immigration policies are launching attacks at the administration over the renewal of a policy they claim allows thousands of dangerous migrants into the country.

The Humanitarian Parole Program was created by the Biden administration to allow migrants from politically volatile Latin American and Caribbean countries - Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba - to enter the country legally if they are sponsored by a U.S. citizen. The program was suspended earlier this year over concerns of fraud.

Mark Morgan, former acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection and visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation argued that the abuses that led to the suspension will be ongoing and that the program allows dangerous gang members from Venezuela into the country in an illegal, expedited fashion.
