The Artificial Intelligence Task Force is urging the government to incorporate AI in the education system.
That's one of the key recommendations to the government from the task force, chaired by Christopher Reckord.
The AI Task Force was established in 2023 to conduct AI research and provide an evidence-based foundation for the development of a National AI Policy.
Reckord says a modern technological infrastructure must be in place in both urban and rural areas to support the incorporation of AI.
Meanwhile, Mr. Reckord says ethical frameworks must be implemented in order to prevent the misuse of AI. He says Jamaica should look to UNESCO's AI Guidelines for Small Island Development States.
